Art Room Progress

Here some updated photos of my classroom.  I was able to check out the kiln room and my storage closet.  The ceiling in my room is absolutely stunning.  So excited, yet still in shock that next year I will be teaching in a brand new class room.

Eau Claire Half Marathon

My friend Marie and I tackled another race this weekend.  It was her very first half marathon and quite honestly, I don't even know what number it was for me.  The Eau Claire, WI crowd was amazing.  It was  beautiful 74 degrees, even warmer by the time we were done and we were both so thankful for all the sprinklers, hoses, water guns and water stations along the way.  My time for this race was 2 hours 25 minutes and 4 seconds.  This wasn't by far the best time for a half marathon for me, but I felt wonderful at the end.  I ran for fun and to support my friend who wanted to tackle this goal.  I am so proud of her!  She finished in 2 hours 21 minutes and 16 seconds.

Pinwheel Action

Middle School students had a blast creating and designing pinwheels in art club this week.  Our next meeting is May 14th at 3:20 to 4:15.  Our project will be an inspirational collage.  It is the last meeting of the school year.  We hope to see you there!

Hot Chocolate Run 15K

My cousin Brittany, sister Susan and our friend Amy.

 

My second race completed for 2015.  It was a 15K, (9.3 miles).  It was chilly start, but ended up being the perfect temperature once I got the blood flowing.  Took me 1 hour 40 minutes.  Next race is in two weeks!
